Community engagement is fundamental to the running of this facility and the insight gained through these workshops has been invaluable in understanding the area and the spaces, both as existing and their potential.

Through discussing with local people throughout the journey, it is hoped that they will feel a sense of ownership over the designs as they develop. This leads to a richer and more contextually appropriate proposal and embeds the project within its local community.
